Lose Weight For Good!with Doc Russ

The most practical part of the course

The Environmental Operating System

Willpower is a poor long-term strategy because it has to show up every single day. Your surroundings show up whether you do or not. Walk through your spaces one at a time, ask four questions, and let the room start making the healthy choice the easy one.

The four questions you ask in every space

The same four questions, everywhere. That repetition is deliberate — after a few rooms you will start asking them automatically, in places this course never mentions.

  1. What’s here — or not here?

What would you add or remove from this space that would help you eat better and/or move more?

  2. What’s seen — or not seen?

What would you make more or less visible in this space that would help you eat better and/or move more?

  3. What’s convenient — or inconvenient?

How would you change this space to make it more convenient to eat better and move more, and less convenient to eat poorly and be lazy?

  4. How does this place make you feel?

How would you change this space to make you feel better?
