U is for Unique

The plan that transformed your friend may do nothing for you, and that is not a failure of discipline on your part.

People differ in genetics, medical history, medications, sleep, stress, culture, schedule, budget, and food access. Any program claiming to be right for everyone is claiming something impossible.

This cuts both ways. It means you cannot copy someone else’s plan and expect their result — and it means every past failure was partly a mismatch, not merely a lapse in character.

Your job is not to find the one correct diet. It is to run careful experiments on yourself, keep what demonstrably works for you, and discard what does not, regardless of who recommended it.

Practice this
  • Identify one popular rule that has never worked for you and formally drop it.
  • Run one two-week experiment and record the result.
  • Write down three things that have reliably worked for you specifically.
Sit with this
  • Whose plan are you following, and does it fit your actual life?
  • What works for you that nobody recommended?
  • What do you keep trying because it works for other people?
